Will there be a consultation?
At the start of your first session, you will be asked to complete a consultation form. It is important to fill it as accurately as possible so that I can gain an accurate picture of your health and lifestyle and to ensure that there are no contraindications and that we can proceed with the session. This will be accompanied with an informal chat about your individual needs and discussion about how these can be met during the session.
Please allow an extra 10-15 minutes for your first session for the consultation. Subsequent sessions will not require any further consultation forms to be filled out, just a chat beforehand about any changes in health and requirements for the session.
Where will the session take place?
The therapy room is situated in the quiet village of Barns Green. It is a light and airy space, designed to create a relaxing ambience. The room has crystals scattered around to help to create a positive energy. The room has full central heating, so it is a warm and cosy space and blankets and throws are available if required.
What do I wear?
If you are coming for a reflexology session, please wear loose trousers as some leg massage is done from the knee downwards.
Otherwise please wear comfortable clothing. Please note that there may be some transfer of oil or wax onto your clothing which happens occasionally although I will try to minimise the chances of this happening, so you may wish to avoid wearing brand new clothes!
What about my modesty?
Please be ensured that your modesty will be protected at all times. If you are having a massage you will be covered at all times with a towel or sheet, only the area being worked on will be exposed.
If you have any worries at all before the session, please let me know and I can hopefully reassure you and make you feel at ease!
What do I need to do after the session?
To get maximum benefit from your complementary therapy session, it is advisable that you drink plenty of water in the 24 hours following the session. Also, it is best to avoid alcohol, smoking and to minimise caffeine consumption if possible. Also, I recommend that you relax as much as possible and avoid heavy meals in the few hours after the session has ended.

How will I feel after the session?

It has also been known for certain people to suffer an adverse reaction, which may be a heightened, but temporary, worsening of symptoms, or the appearance of new symptoms. This is usually followed by an improvement in the condition. This may occur after one treatment or after many treatments and may last for a few hours or longer. This is a sign that the body is responding to treatment and is part of the body’s natural healing process.
Some of the common reactions to treatment are shown below:
• Vivid dreams
• Increase in urination/sweating
• Temporary worsening of symptoms
• Heightened emotional state – tearful, sad, elated
This is quite normal and is a positive reaction to the treatment as toxins are released from the body as the body works to heal itself. After effects can be reduced or eliminated if you follow the advice mentioned above, and usually disappear after a day or two. If you have any concerns, please contact me.
What products do you use?
Wax is mainly used for reflexology and massage, Usually a non-fragranced wax which is derived from beeswax is used, however some low dilution preblended waxes may be offered if deemed necessary. Please advise is you are allergic to beeswax or are vegan and we will suggest an alternative medium for use.
Various oils are also used occasionally , again based around your needs, skin types, allergies etc. which will be discussed during the consultation.
In Aromareflex, a base moisturiser or wax will be used, with added essential oils. which will be blended during the consultation based around your needs for the session.
Vegan options are available upon request.
For all facial treatments, Tropic skincare is used and occasonally Ren skincare as well.
How do I pay for my session?
Please pay by cash after the session has ended. There is a post office in Barns Green village store where you can draw money out and it is open until 8pm every evening Monday-Saturday. Unfortunately we don’t accept cheques. Card payments are coming soon.
What happens to my data?
Do you have a Cancellation Policy?
At the moment we don’t ask for a deposit to secure your booking, but as a small business, last minute cancellations can be costly. This is why we have had to implement a Cancellation Policy.
if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment for any reason please give as much notice as possible. We will endeavour to reschedule at a mutually convenient time. However, If you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment, we will ask for 50% of the session cost to be paid.
Furthermore, if a client cancels more than once at extremely short notice then a 50% deposit may be requested in advance for future bookings. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Also, in the unlikely event when your appointment needs to be cancelled or rescheduled for whatever reason, every effort will be made to give 24 hours minimum advance notice and to ensure that the appointment is rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
You can purchase gift vouchers to give as presents. Gift vouchers are available in denominations of £25 for a 30 minute session and £40 for a 60 minute session.

Please note that gift vouchers are only valid until the date specified on them and after this expiry date are no longer valid for redemption. Also the gift voucher is only valid if it has the gift card serial number on it which matches the database and an authorised signature. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash or for any products and are only valid for the therapies specified on the website and as agreed at time of booking.
Is there a Mobile Services Policy?
We do offer some therapies on a mobile basis (currently Reflexology, Facial Reflexology, Reiki and Indian Head Massage). This is strictly by prior consultation only and to homes within a 5 mile radius. Areas Covered at present- Horsham, Billingshurst, Southwater, Barns Green, Itchingfield, Brooks Green, Coolham, Wisborough Green and Slinfiold. A £5 charge is added for mobile services on top of normal therapy prices. Mobile appointments are available in daylight hours only. Do you have a loyalty scheme?
Yes! Loyalty cards are available! Get 5 stamps and you will get your sixth session for half price! Please note this excludes taster sessions and discounted sessions.
Is there a recommend a friend scheme in place?
Yes there is! Simply recommend a friend and all they need to do is mention your name upon booking and you’ll both get 20% off. They’ll get 20% off their first session and you’ll get 20% off on your next visit. This excludes taster sessions and discounted or block bookings, sorry.
